Peer Buddies Needed for our new Citizen's Adult Friendship Program! Experience the life-changing power of friendship through Best Buddies by becoming a friend to someone who needs one! We cultivate an inclusive community by matching adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with Peer Buddies who do not have a disability, in meaningful, one-to-one friendships. Friendship matches are based on likes/interests, age, and home location. This is a mutually enriching friendship opportunity for adults 18+ who want to make a difference in someone else's life through friendship and leadership. A background check is required and will be sent to you through Sterling Volunteers when Best Buddies Membership Application is completed. Time Commitment: Contact with Buddy once a week through text or email, and get togethers in person twice a month. You will be matched with a Buddy who lives in the same geographical region. There is an opportunity to attend periodic statewide events and activities for integrated community connections. Please contact us for more information!
