Music has a unique ability to soothe, comfort, and connect. For hospice patients and their families, a familiar melody or gentle instrumental music can create moments of peace, evoke treasured memories, and bring comfort when words are not enough. Granite VNA is seeking compassionate volunteer musicians to share their talents with hospice patients in their homes or at the Hospice House. Whether you sing, play guitar, piano, harp, violin, flute, or another portable instrument, your gift of music can make a meaningful difference during a patient's end-of-life journey. Volunteers should be comfortable performing in a quiet, intimate setting and adapting their music to each patient's preferences and needs. All music volunteers are required to complete Granite VNA's volunteer training program before beginning patient visits. If you have a heart for service and a love of sharing music with others, we invite you to join our volunteer team and help bring comfort through the healing power of music. Concord and Lakes Region opportunities available.
