Veteran Volunteers Sought for Hospice Patients

The shared bond of military service is unlike any other. For veterans receiving hospice care, spending time with someone who understands that experience can provide comfort, connection, and an opportunity to reflect on a lifetime of service. Granite VNA is seeking veteran volunteers from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces—as well as community members who are passionate about honoring those who served—to support our veteran patients. Volunteer opportunities range from participating in one-time Veteran Recognition ("Pinning") Ceremonies to providing ongoing companionship through one-on-one visits with veteran hospice patients. All veteran volunteers are required to complete Granite VNA's volunteer training program before serving. Whether you are a veteran yourself or simply want to ensure that no veteran faces the end of life without gratitude and companionship, we invite you to join this meaningful program.
