Who We Are

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Hillsborough County is a national service program of the Corporation of National and Community Service. This program connects the "55 and better" generation with the people and organizations that need ongoing volunteer support, and offers the opportunity for seniors to stay involved and make a difference in their community.

What We Do

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Hillsborough County aims to connect seniors aged 55 and better with a number of different volunteer opportunities around Hillsborough County. We have many different organizations and programs that we work with, some of which include: adult education, healthy habits classes for adults and children, food pantry support, meals on wheels, fixit corps, friendly home visitors, classroom assistants and tutors, along with many more. Volunteer assignments will be made based on the volunteer's talents and interests.

If you have an idea for a volunteer opportunity that we do not already offer, RSVP staff will make every effort to contact new organizations in our community to develop a new volunteer assignment.
