What We Do

- Shower
- Laundry
- A mailing address
- Phone charging
- Use of computer, internet, phone and fax
Our Case Workers and Volunteers can help connect guests with:
- Housing and shelter programs
- Medicaid, and other benefits
- SNAP benefits
- V.A. benefits
- Obtaining state I.D., social security card or birth certificate
Emergency Winter Shelter
This 40-bed shelter opened in 2018. It is a “low barrier” shelter that serves adults, including those with active addictions and felony convictions, so that those in need can sleep inside during dangerously cold winter months. It serves men and women, adults only.
Volunteers at the Winter Shelter are not just an extra set of hands for shelter Managers and staff. They provide sets of ears and empathetic hearts for our guests. As simple as this sounds, it makes a very positive impact on the environment. As a shelter volunteer, you will get a better sense of the homelessness issue in our community; in just a few hours of volunteering you will gain a true understanding of the challenges some fellow Concord-area residents are facing.
