Who We Are
Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity's (GNHFH) mission is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing in the southern New Hampshire towns we serve.** We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that works to strengthen families and communities through affordable homeownership opportunities.
Habitat is committed to developing and uplifting families and communities in addition to constructing houses. In 2019, GNHFH celebrated its 25th Anniversary and will be celebrating 30 years in 2024. In the fall of 2022, we handed over the keys to our 13th & 14th homes in Nashua, NH for two female veteran families and now our next home build will being in the spring of 2023.
Towns We Serve
Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity serves the local communities of Amherst, Brookline, Greenville, Hollis, Hudson, Lyndeborough, Mason, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, Pelham, Wilton, and Windham
What We Do
Working together side by side with corporations, like-minded community groups, faith-based organizations, schools, individual volunteers, etc., GNHFH strives to develop better, affordable living conditions which will lead to improved health, stronger childhood development, and the ability — and financial flexibility — to make forward-looking choices.
We partner with families whose income is above public housing guidelines but who are unable to qualify for conventional mortgages. Qualified families are given a hand-up (not a handout). Habitat homebuyers earn the homes they build through sweat equity and by repaying affordable mortgages as well as paying city/town property taxes and homeowner insurance premiums.
