Description: Our WildQuest camp for children ages 4-14, engages campers every summer in connecting with and learning about nature, while making some friends along the way. The wagon tractor driver volunteer helps round out each camp week by bringing our campers on a wagon ride around the property.
Commitment: One day per week for at least 4 out of 8 camp weeks Season: 8 camp weeks that run July-August
Schedule: Full day or half day every Tuesday from June 30th - August 25th
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time to prepare tractor for the wagon rides around the property
- Safely drive the tractor around the property for each camp group
- Interact appropriately with camp staff and children
- Notify staff of any issues with the tractor
- Return tractor and all other equipment to the correct location
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, safe driving record
- Experience driving large vehicles, tractor driving experience preferred
- Must pass a background check
Training: Meet with applicable staff before camp starts to ensure a good fit for the role, introduction to tractor and additional resources as needed.
Safety: Team members are expected to bring and wear appropriate clothing for the conditions and activities they will be doing. This includes closed toed shoes, gloves, bug repellent, water, and sunscreen. Ensure safe practices when working around and driving the tractor.
