Help Bring Events to Life at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum
Do you enjoy seeing a great event come together—and want to be part of making it happen? The Events Committee at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum (MKIM) is looking for volunteers to join our team!
From the Powwow to our Harvest Moon Festival, hands-on workshops, and speaker series, our events bring people together to celebrate and learn about Native American traditions. None of it happens without a dedicated crew of volunteers who care about community, culture, and connection.
We’re looking for people who are:
Organized enough to keep track of details
Creative enough to suggest fresh ideas
Flexible enough to handle the unexpected (like wrangling a tent on a windy day)
Excited to work with a great team of humans doing meaningful things
What’s involved?
One short Zoom meeting a month
Helping with one or more events a year—setting up, greeting guests, or pitching in behind the scenes
Joining a supportive, collaborative group that turns ideas into experiences
You don’t need prior event-planning experience—just a willingness to jump in, lend a hand, and have fun along the way.
