Pet Therapy Volunteers Sought for Hospice Clients

The comfort and companionship of a friendly animal can brighten a day, ease anxiety, spark conversation, and bring moments of joy to people facing illness or isolation. Granite VNA is seeking compassionate pet therapy volunteers and their certified therapy dogs to visit hospice patients, home health clients, and community members, helping create meaningful connections one visit at a time. Volunteers must have therapy dog certification through an organization that provides liability insurance for therapy animal teams. In addition, all pet therapy volunteers are required to complete Granite VNA's volunteer training program before beginning visits.
