Who We Are
Post 58 was founded by returning WWI veterans in 1919 and has been serving continuously ever since. Our members are male and female veterans who have served our country in time of war. We are focused on continuing to serve our community, state and nation however we are able. We are not a large Post, but our members are very active and effective.
What We Do
American Legion Post 58 is strictly focused on service. We don't have a Post "home" or canteen; instead, we meet in the Senior Center and work to raise funds and perform community service projects. We support organizations that serve veterans, active military and address community and school needs. We also perform community service projects such as building recreational trails and bridges, constructing parks and organizing and conducting our town's Memorial Day parade. We also support the Pease Greeters, Liberty House, Veterans Count, the NH Veterans Home, Camp Resilience and local food pantries. Post 58 provides scholarships and awards to Belmont High School students and sponsors student attendance at Boys State.
