Who We Are

The American Lung Association is a dedicated to improving the lung health of those living in the Northeast. Our mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research. We strive to accomplish this mission by doing things such as improving the air quality, reducing the youth smoking rate and spreading the word about Lung Cancer. Lung Cancer kills more Americans than colorectal, breast and prostate cancer combined yet it's not on people's radar. If you know someone with lung cancer, COPD or asthma you are already connected with our mission.

What We Do

The American Lung Association is working hard to make NH a healthier state. We fight for healthy air initiatives in NH. We are currently combating the youth smoking rate in New Hampshire, the highest in the Northeast. We fund research and educate people about Lung Cancer, COPD and asthma. There are numerous programs in NH, email Melissa.Walden@Lung.org for more information.

The Cycle the Seacoast is a cycling fundraiser that helps raise money to fund all the things the American Lung Association of the Northeast does in NH. This is a 25, 50 or 100 mile ride (you choose the route). People are welcome to cycle or volunteer to help support the initiatives the American Lung Association are implementing in NH and the other Northeastern states. Thank you for your continuous support.
