Who We Are

Willing Hands’ mission is to recover, grow, and glean fresh food in order to reduce waste and provide equitable, reliable access to nutritious food for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Willing Hands is a non-profit, charitable organization operating throughout the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire.

What We Do

Willing Hands distributes free, wholesome food to approximately 5,000 people each week all year long, through our partners at 70+ recipient sites that include food pantries, senior centers, community meal sites, family and child support services, and income-qualified senior and family housing. We pick up donated food, primarily fruits and vegetables, that might otherwise go to waste and deliver this food to these human service organizations. We also grow food in volunteer-powered gardens and glean fresh fruits and vegetables from partner farms and orchards throughout the Upper Valley.
