Who We Are
The Park Theatre is New England’s latest state-of-the-art, full performing arts center, located in downtown Jaffrey, NH. The reincarnation of the historic cinema that was a center of town life for over 50 years, the new Park Theatre is designed for the presentation of film and live performance as well as offering generous space for café seating, dances, trade shows, conventions and other private and community uses The Theatre welcomes a range of presenting organizations from local schools and community groups to national touring acts. Its ParkArts educational arm provides youth summer and vacation camps and other arts opportunities for young people. The Theatre is also home to the historic Four Mountain Murals painted for the original theater in 1941-- giant scenes of Mt Monadnock in each of the four seasons from each of the four towns that flank it. The Park Theatre is fully accessible and ADA-compliant and offers hearing- assist devices.
What We Do
The Park Theatre, a community-focused performing arts center, provides artistic, cultural, entertainment and educational programs and activities for Monadnock Region residents and visitors. The Theatre welcomes a range of presenting organizations from local schools and community groups to national touring acts. There is something for everyone with a wide range of movies and concerts of a variety of genres, plays, magic shows, book talks, and more. Its ParkArts educational arm provides youth summer and vacation camps and other arts opportunities for young people. Monthly by-donation Open Mics and weekend free live music in the lounge give local musicians a chance to perform and become known and for community members to gather socially. The Theatre organizes free community events including the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Veteran’s Day movie and pizza for vets. Theatre spaces are also available to rent.
