Who We Are

The Park Theatre's mission is to provide diverse artistic, cultural, and community-focused experiences to entertain, educate, enrich, and inspire. With origins in an early 20th-century immigrant success story, the original Park Theatre was the center of social, cultural, and economic life in Jaffrey for over 50 years. The vision for the new Park Theatre is a full performing arts center that would revitalize a flagging downtown, enrich quality of life and boost regional arts and entertainment. The Theatre opened its doors in 2021 as a beacon of a more vibrant future for downtown Jaffrey and surrounding areas. A gathering place for the community, the Park Theatre presents film and live acts, holds many free events, and conducts camps and other programs for youth. The Theatre provides a stage for local talent building careers to seasoned performers and national acts. The Theatre also displays the historic Four Mountain Murals - giant scenes of Mt Monadnock in each of the four seasons from each of the four towns that flank it - painted for the original theater in 1941.

What We Do

The Park Theatre, a community-focused performing arts center, provides artistic, cultural, entertainment and educational programs and activities for Monadnock Region residents and visitors. The Theatre welcomes a range of presenting organizations from local schools and community groups to national touring acts. Its ParkArts educational arm provides youth summer and vacation camps and other arts opportunities for young people. The main William David Eppes Auditorium seats 333 and features a large 27' movie screen and surround sound plus a stage for concerts and other live acts. Orchestra and lower mezzanine seats can be retracted for a 1,500 sf space for café-style seating, dances, conventions, parties, and other uses. The King Auditorium provides a 77-seat flexible space for a more intimate experience of film and live shows as well as use for lectures, workshops, meetings, and receptions.
