FIRE Foundation of NH, Inc

NH was established in 2019 when my son, Christopher, who has autism and blindness, desired to attend a catholic school like his siblings.  Our experience was very difficult and costly.  Now Christopher and I want to change that for future families. Catholic schools receive very little , if any support and funding for students with disabilities. As a result of the experience, we sought resources and the FIRE Foundation in Kansas City MO, which was foundered by parents of children with disabilities over 25 years ago.  Their vision was that students with disabilities would be welcomed and valued as well as being able to attend Catholic school with their siblings.  27 plus years  later, there are now 9 FIRE affiliates all over the country, each one sharing resources and uniting in mission.  We are one of them, working in collaboration with our diocese.
