Who We Are

HAVEN is dedicated to addressing public health through violence prevention and providing services to improve the well-being of children and families. Preventing abuse and providing support for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence leads to healthier, more secure children and adults. Our mission is to prevent sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking and stalking and to support and empower women, men, youth and families to heal from abuse and rebuild their lives.

What We Do

Support for Survivors:

* 24-hour confidential crisis support line staffed by trained advocates: 1-603-994-SAFE (7233)

* 24-hour accompaniment services to hospital emergency rooms, police stations, Child Advocacy Centers and courts

* Referrals and information on safety planning, emergency, temporary and permanent restraining orders

* Online chat available 9am-4pm via HAVENNH.org

* Safe shelter and housing assistance

* Support groups for survivors and those impacted by domestic and sexual violence

Prevention Education:

At HAVEN, our goal is to prevent violence from happening in the first place, in addition to supporting kids and families who have experienced trauma. Going classroom to classroom, our Educators use age-appropriate, interactive curricula to engage students K-12 in conversations about personal body safety, boundaries, consent, and how to seek help from a trusted adult.

HAVEN’s Prevention Education program strives to make our community a safer place by changing mindsets and empowering the next generation.
