Bayada Hospice Volunteer Description

Summary:

Volunteers assist Bayada staff with families who have a loved one in hospice care. We have many ways that you can help change a family’s life.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities may include:

Patient visits (Companionship, Reading, Life review, Exercise) Legacy projects to help the family remember their loved one (arts / cooking / music/ etc) Reading, Movies, Crafts, Activities at Senior living facilities Pet therapy (if you have a therapy animal) Virtual projects from home or around your town (singing, art, crafts, reading, music) Office projects (companionship calls or office help) Gardening program assistance Bereavement support Vigil companionshipTrack your volunteer hours (prep, travel and activity included) with the volunteer coordinator.
