Position Overview Resident Transportation Volunteers provide safe, supportive transportation for residents of Lydia’s House of Hope to scheduled appointments and approved destinations. This is an on-call, as-needed volunteer position. When a transportation need arises, a Lydia’s House staff member will personally contact volunteers to ask about availability. Volunteers are never obligated to accept a ride request. As a volunteer, you always have the right to say no based on your availability.

Responsibilities

-Provide transportation for residents to and from approved appointments or destinations

-Drive directly to the designated location and back without making side stops   

-Maintain a respectful, supportive, and professional presence during transportation

-Follow all Lydia’s House of Hope volunteer policies and transportation guidelines

-Communicate promptly with staff regarding availability and any concerns
