Volunteer: Help A Woman Reach Her Savings Goals - Be a Budget Coach! At Women's Money Matters, we know that when women achieve financial security and independence, the entire community benefits. That's why we partner with low-income women in a unique one-on-one coaching program that helps them set and achieve financial goals. You don't have to be a finance expert to be a coach. All you need is the desire to help a woman in your community make the most of the money she has. WMM builds the financial literacy, confidence, and security of low-income women in Massachusetts, through a unique program that combines instructional workshops and personal, one-to-one coaching. We work with clients referred by local social service agencies and customize our program to their needs. Local financial institutions lead our classes. Volunteer coaches serve as personal mentors. The special mentoring component customizes assistance to each client. Low-income women - who typically have no access to the financial advisors that educate those with higher incomes - get individualized help with the specific financial issues that keep them in poverty. Teach Financial Skills that Last a Lifetime Do you have 90 MINUTES a week to change someone’s life? As a volunteer coach, you’ll provide ongoing, one-on-one support for your client - and we’ll support you in that effort. As a start, here’s a summary of what we ask of our coaches: - A genuine interest in and commitment to working with low-income women - Strict confidentiality of all client financial and personal information - A 3-4 month commitment to your client - Participation in a one-hour coaches’ orientation Reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Berny, at blugo@womensmoneymatters.org for more information or visit our volunteer page.

Volunteer: Community Programs Support - Meal Prep
We are looking for Thursday night meal prep once a month.
We are going to create a rotating schedule with a team of cooks that are willing to each take a consistent Thursday each month.
We would purchase the ingredients and they would just need to be set up in a crockpot on Thursday mornings.
If you have cooking experience, this could be something that you could do at home. Cooking the food at home would require a brief food safety training and a reference.
In the event that you are doing this at home, you would simply pick up the ingredients and the crockpots on Tuesdays or Wednesdays to be able to deliver the food on Thursday by 5:00 PM.
Alternatively, you could also come to our program on Thursday mornings and set up the crockpots here.

Volunteer: AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide Is Looking for Volunteers Throughout NHEach year over 300 volunteers with NH Tax-Aide assist more than 19,000 taxpayers with their tax returns. We are looking for compassionate and friendly people to join our volunteer team for the upcoming tax season. We'll provide the training and support to help you learn new skills, and you'll get a great feeling from helping those in need. This year we will continue to offer NO CONTACT or entirely VIRTUAL tax services while hoping to meet in person with volunteers and taxpayers once again. Managing taxpayer appointments from the comfort of your home is also an option! Technology Coordinators assist with site equipment, website development, network and/or WIFI setups, appointment scheduling and database set-up at the local and district levels. Communication Coordinators recruit volunteers and market the program to prospective volunteers at the local level. Administrative Coordinators assist with recordkeeping at the district level. Tax law and software instructors are needed as well as those willing to present administrative policies and procedures. Speak a second language? We have a big demand for bilingual speakers in all roles, especially dedicated interpreters who can assist other volunteers. Thank you for your interest in the NH Tax-Aide Program. There will be an option for you if your situation permits. We have many roles that don’t involve preparing taxes. Are any of the following roles a good fit for you? Tax Preparers/Counselors work with taxpayers directly by filling out tax returns. If you have no previous experience, you’ll get the training you need and will also receive IRS certification. Client Facilitators welcome taxpayers and assist with coordination of taxpayers at local sites, help organize their paperwork, and manage the overall flow of service. If you are interested in volunteering for the upcoming tax season, you can provide your contact information at aarpfoundation.org/taxaidevolunteer (preferred) or on this volunteernh.org site by clicking on Respond. You will be contacted regarding the next steps. Organization: AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Each year over 300 volunteers with NH Tax-Aide assist more than 19,000 taxpayers with their tax returns.
