This year will be a BIG celebration! Why? Because it is our 20th year having a powwow at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum. There will be so much to see from dancers, to drummers, to kids activities and crafts, to the powwow fields and the museum itself!
And with such a big event, we need as many volunteers as we can use!
- We are looking for many different mini jobs both Saturday and Sunday. A list will be mentioned below. The powwow will run on Saturday, July 13th from 10am-5pm and Sunday, July 14th from 10am-5pm.
- Friday, July, 12th would be much appreciated if we could get a few volunteers to help us set up tents, tables, cables, and the like to get ready for that weekend.
- Sunday night would also be much appreciated for volunteers to help take down tents, tables, chairs, cables, etc. Take down is normally fast due to people helping to take down. Powwow committee will take down their own tents, vendors will take down their own tents.
The list of what we are looking for is below:
- Parking
- Admissions
- Kid's Tent
- Raffle Tent
- Break filler
All day in the hot summer heat can slow anyone down. Hoping to get enough volunteers for this event where people only have to work either from 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm. If a full day is what you want to do, we will not stop you from doing so. But it can make for a long day, especially when its hot.
