Join Foliage Retrievers Service Dogs (FRSD) as a board member and contribute to our mission of providing service dogs to individuals with PTSD. FRSD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving those underserved by existing service dog organizations.
About FRSD: FRSD specializes in training and placing service dogs, significantly improving the lives of individuals suffering from PTSD. We are committed to expanding our reach and enhancing our programs to better serve our community.

BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
COMMITMENT
Believe in and be an active advocate and ambassador for the values and mission of FRSD
PARTICIPATION
Attendance
Commit to 5 hours per month of work for FRSD
Participate actively in at least 80% of all Board meetings remotely or in person.
Participate in any additional Board related activities or assigned sub-committee meetings or specific tasks
Prepare for Board meetings by reviewing in advance the Agenda & any distributed materials
Evaluations and Disclosures
Complete the annual evaluation of FRSD
Complete the annual Self Evaluation of the Board of Directors
Sign and return all annual disclosures (e.g. Conflict of Interest)
Events
Participate in awareness, educational, or fundraising events in your area or nationally
Financial Commitment Guidelines
Support the operations of FRSD through 100% Board participation in fundraising by giving and assisting in raising money for the Foundation
Behavior
Have the time & be willing to participate and advocate for FRSD
Demonstrate passion for the mission & vision
Always have the best interests of FRSD in mind
Maintain the highest ethical standards in all FRSD dealings
Ensure confidentiality in all matters that are sensitive to FRSD and dealings with others
Respect the views of management and other Board members
Communicate promptly and constructively to communications regarding FRSD
Fulfill your commitments with quality work delivered on time
