Volunteer: Shelter AssistantJoin the Belknap House staff as a volunteer! Belknap House is looking for shelter assistants to help run the shelter and make the shelter welcoming to families. Volunteers will work with the Executive Director and Family Support Coordinator. No experience needed, training will be provided. Belknap House needs shelter assistants to help our residents all hours of the day and every day of the week. The shelter is open from Oct 15th until May 15th and then becomes a hostel over the warmer months. Day shifts are 6-9am, 9am-1pm, 1-5pm, and 5-10pm. The overnight shift is 11pm to 7am and will provide opportunities for sleep. We have an on-going need for assistants and offer training at least once a month based on the availability of those interested.
