Volunteer: Workplace Safety Specialist / TrainerJoin us for our 92nd year of creating Broadway quality theater for audiences in the northeast, the 2024 season at the historic Ogunquit Playhouse! About the Workplace Safety Specialist/Trainers: Are you organized, like people, and passionate about safety and equity? Educators take notice! Safety Specialist volunteers will help OP Safety and Compliance Officer build and deliver training for the Ogunquit Playhouse safety plans and evacuation plans. Some specialists will train our visiting design and production crews, as well as our actors and other volunteers in safety plans for various buildings on and off our campus. Trainings will happen throughout the season when new show companies arrive. Other safety specialists may assist in writing, finalizing approved training to be delivered by trainers. Other safety specialists could update our Safety Training database to ensure all volunteer and paid staff have received and are up to date on their training. Safety trainings will include Emergency Evacuation training, Active Attacker training, and more. Safety Specialists will work together to ensure records are current for staff who have or have not had various trainings, and will follow-up with scheduling. Volunteers will work in shifts of 2 to 4 hours There may be minimal lifting, but there will be people around to help you Must have ability to maneuver in the theater, lobby, outdoors and backstage. Some stairs required. Knowledge of workplace safety helpful, but not required.
