Join MRWC and North Country Kayak for a 4-mile paddle. Our trip will start at the NHTI boat ramp, just a stone's throw from downtown Concord, New Hampshire. We will paddle across the Merrimack River and explore the channel around the Concord Island Reserve. From there we will paddle upstream along the banks of the Merrimack River Outdoor Education and Conservation area. We will continue on into a pastoral landscape north of the city. After a mile of upstream paddling we follow the river back down - past the put in, and paddle south towards a more urban landscape. After a quick jaunt downstream we will turn around once again - and finish our paddle back where we started. This paddle is great for beginners and experienced kayakers alike.
