Join the Squam Lakes Association for a moderately rated guided hike out and back on Mount Percival. This route is approximately 4 miles long, with beautiful caves located near the summit, and a view of Squam Lake at the top. Snowshoes or spikes are recommended for this hike as conditions may be icy on the trail. Snowshoes will be available for up to 6 participants. Please dress accordingly and bring plenty of water, snacks, and a lunch to enjoy at the summit. All ages are welcome to participate in this program. We will meet at the Rattlesnake parking lot, on Route 113 in Holderness, at 11:00am.
By the end of the hike, participants will have a better understanding of Squam watershed ecology, SLA conservation efforts, and the different ways we strive to provide low impact recreation to the public. Overall, this is a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy the unique experience of winter hiking.
