Volunteer with Lakes Region Conservation Corps members for a day of trail work on Thursday, February 8th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm! We will hike up Doublehead trail to Doublehead Mountain and then travel along the ridge to Mt. Percival to take out blowdowns, lop branches encroaching on the trails, and make sure blazing is clear and visible. The day will focus on replacing blazes up the Doublehead trail. As always, this work is weather dependent and should any changes to plans arise we will provide updates. We encourage volunteers to join who love the outdoors, enjoy hands-on conservation work, and are excited to work with our LRCC members! Volunteers should bring appropriate winter clothing, water, food, and snowshoes and/or micro-spikes depending on conditions. The SLA can provide snowshoes for up to six volunteers.
