Who We Are
We are an organization that educates and trains AmeriCorps volunteers to conduct environmental education in the Manchester and Concord Regions of NH, be the naturalists in state parks, and conduct hands on conservation work. Our program is based at Bear Brook State Park and hires 30 young adult volunteers for a ten month term of service training them to become the next generation of Conservation Leaders.
What We Do
The Student Conservation Association's NH AmeriCorps program works in the fields of education and hands on conservation service. We look to inform the citizens and visitors of NH about the abundant natural and cultural resources this state has to offer. We also conduct conservation projects that help preserve and create a sustainable environment and trails and rehabilitate historic sites across NH. Working with AmeriCorps volunteers we look to engage the public in meaningful conversations and/or service that connects them to the environment and historic resources here in the Granite State.
