Who We Are
Seacoast Pathways Of Portsmouth, NH is a nice place to check out during the day where people connect with others in a safe, supportive environment while participating in the structure of the Clubhouse, a proven model for psychosocial rehabilitation.
Seacoast Pathways is a subsidiary of Granite Pathways (www.granitepathways.org). We recently opened an additional clubhouse in Manchester called Manchester Pathways. There are over 370 certified Clubhouses worldwide and we follow their footsteps to bring purposeful work and meaningful relationships for countless individuals in our state.
Seacoast Pathways serves people aged 18 and over in communities from Portsmouth and Dover to Exeter to Seabrook, New Hampshire and those in between, and southern Maine communities including Kittery and Eliot.
Clubhouse members operate the clubhouse together with a small professional staff, called generalists. Focus is on a work-ordered day where members choose from specific tasks that need to be done each day both in the clubhouse and within the community. Our two generalists, Scott and Joe, work alongside our members to develop their talents and interests for a successful and thriving clubhouse.
What We Do
The daily activity of a Clubhouse is organized around a structured system known as the work-ordered day. The work-ordered day takes place during clubhouse house hours, which parallels the typical business hours of the working community where the Clubhouse is located. Members and staff work side by side, as colleagues to perform the work that is important to their community. All of the work in the Clubhouse is for the Clubhouse and not for any outside agency or business. There are no clinical therapies or treatment-oriented programs in the Clubhouse. Members volunteer to participate as they feel ready and according to their individual interests.
Members can reach their goals of work, education, stable housing, and friendships at a pace that works for them, all while being connected to others and developing their unique strengths and abilities.
Membership is free and for life.
