Monadnock Habitat for Humanity

Monadnock Habitat for Humanity brings local people together to build homes, hope, and stronger communities. Since 1991, we’ve partnered with families across the Monadnock Region to create safe, stable, affordable homeownership opportunities. Partner Families work alongside volunteers to help build their homes, contribute sweat equity, and purchase them through an affordable mortgage. After several years without a build, we’re building again, and growing. Our current plan includes two single-family homes and a duplex, creating affordable homeownership opportunities for four local families. And we need our community to make it happen. You don’t need construction experience to volunteer with Habitat. Whether you can swing a hammer, help at an event, lend a professional skill, support our Marketplace, organize a group from your workplace, or simply show up ready to help, there’s a place for you at Habitat. We believe affordable housing is built by more than lumber and nails. It’s built by neighbors showing up for neighbors. Come build with us.

We build affordable homes in partnership with local families and the community. Monadnock Habitat for Humanity brings together Partner Families, volunteers, businesses, donors, and community organizations to build and renovate safe, affordable homes throughout the Monadnock Region. Partner Families contribute sweat equity, working alongside volunteers to help build their homes while completing financial education to prepare for successful homeownership. They then purchase their Habitat home through an affordable mortgage, helping create long-term stability and the opportunity to build equity. Our volunteers make this work possible. From construction and home repairs to our Marketplace, events, committees, fundraising, and community outreach, there are plenty of ways to help, no construction experience required. At the heart of it all is a simple idea: neighbors helping neighbors build a stronger community.
