Who We Are
L'Arche Boston North is a community of adults with and without intellectual disabilities who share life together. Mutual relationships are at the center of all we do at L'Arche, and by living our lives in an inclusive way, we are able to be a sign of hope in our community. L'Arche Boston North is a grassroots non-profit that was founded in 1983 by a group of young adults with disabilities and their families. Their hope was to create a community where people with disabilities could live independently from their family and be supported in developing meaningful connections with the greater community around them.
What We Do
In L'Arche we spend time with and provide care for adults with intellectual disabilities in our homes. We strive to make the ordinary moments of each day – cooking, attending appointments, going out for coffee - a bit more extraordinary by doing it together.
