Who We Are
We are a volunteer based community arts organization with over 35 free and low cost arts programs throughout the year including art, music, theater, literature, and dance. We support arts organizations in our schools and in our region. Our mission: “Enriching lives and building community through the arts.” How do we do this? Enrich: Showcasing existing arts organizations and artists through our First Fridays Programs and Arts Shows throughout the year Offering creative educational opportunities for adults and students Support: Offering scholarship opportunities for students and grants for teachers Providing venues, visibility, and opportunities for arts organizations and artists of all disciplines Providing opportunities for creative individuals to gather and collaborate Providing community events that stimulate the local and broader economy Promote: Publicizing cultural events on our monthly e-calendar, website, in print and other media Creating opportunities for wider visibility for arts organizations and artists of all disciplines Creating collaborative opportunities with businesses, educational Institutions, community organizations and the towns in which we serve.
What We Do
We support over 100 area artists and art related businesses! The Center for The Arts seeks out artists and helps them find a voice before the public collaborates with other organizations to increase public awareness of their art and cultural programs and help support them creates events and programs to enhance existing venues and experiment with new venues expands existing educational opportunities and provides access for all The arts are an essential component of our greater community. The Center for the Arts, facilitates sustainable partnerships with both other organizations and artists in our region. It is these private and public partnerships that create the collaborative platform which enhance and strengthen our Art and Cultural offerings and regional desirability. Center for the Arts is a small organization with a big vision. We welcome your ideas and encourage your partnership though communication, membership and volunteering. CFA acts as a centralized source of information for regional cultural events.
