Who We Are

NHHRC is composed of harm reduction programming experts including personnel with a variety of health, data, and substance use experience including people with lived experience of substance use and recovery. NHHRC seeks to improve access to harm reduction services, engagement of people who use drugs and service providers, and advocate for the rights and dignity of people who use drugs in policy. The NHHRC was established in 2017 by a network of advocates who were engaged in advocating for NH SB 234 (2017) which allowed operation of SSPs in NH.

What We Do

The mission of NHHRC is to promote compassionate care for people who use drugs through harm reduction. We provide training to communities and healthcare providers to empower them to reduce drug related harm. We enable people who use drugs to protect their health and safety through offering syringe service programs (aka needle exchange) in Strafford County and Manchester, NH. We advocate for the rights and dignity of people who use drugs.
